For instance, blood cells that work to fight infections, clot the blood and carry essential oxygen to the body might be affected. If these cells are affected, it is more likely that you will notice infections, bruise and bleed more and feel tired and weak. Also, the hair cells and digestive tract cells might also change due to the medications.
 
Because of these changes, you may notice side effects such as a lacking appetite, vomiting and nausea, hair loss and lip or mouth sores. It is now possible to control many of these effects thanks to drugs that are new and better. Most of the side effects are short term and will go away with time. The hair will grow back but it might be a different texture or color.
