Dosing
Your dose should be prescribed according to how severe the pain level and the patients response to the medication. It should be remembered that a hydrocodone tolerance is possible when taken for periods of time and the chances that this dosage will become ineffective are high.
Most commonly, the recommended dosage for adults is one tablet taken every 4 to 6 hours as necessary for pain. The total dosage per day should not be more than six tablets.
What it's prescribed for
The Vicodin Hp 10-660mg tablets contain the combination of acetaminophen and narcotic analgesics. They are prescribed to treat pain that is moderate to severe. Narcotic analgesics bind to the opioid receptors in your spinal cord and brain, while acetaminophen reduces the amount of prostaglandins in the body to help ease pain. This medication can also be useful in treating other types of conditions as your doctor sees fit.
