Benefits
For most of my life, every spring, I get allergies. My eyes get itchy and watery and my nose runs, along with very frequent sneezing. Four years ago, my allergist gave me a sample of Allegra prescription. It worked without making me drowsy and I have been taking it ever since. I like that I can take it without becoming drowsy for the day.
Side Effects
Sometimes, I get a headache when taking Allegra medication, but I’ll take the headache over the allergies any day! The only con I can think of is it can’t be taken with my morning orange juice. The allergist says the orange juice will decrease the effectiveness of Allegra; I take it with water and have the juice later.
