My doctor said the medication treatment choices were limited in my case, to treat Adult ADHD. At first, I didn’t think Focalin worked, and I wasn’t sure I could deal with the side effects (headaches, dry mouth, upset stomach). I hung in and after about 6 weeks, most of the side effects went away. Since then, my moods have become are stable, I am able to keep my focus at work. I’m not always trying to “catch-up” with myself. The one complaint I have is, I cannot take antacids - the Focalin will not get absorbed.
