I was at an increased risk of developing cardiac problems due to my excessively elevated cholesterol level. Lipitor helped greatly in eating up the excess cholesterol off my blood. I have a blood check up every four weeks to monitor my blood cholesterol and with Lipitor, my cholesterol went down from 300+ to below 200 hundred in just three months and it is still getting better. My doc is now thinking of converting me to a maintenance dose less than the one I am currently using.
Side Effects
I had pretty bad diarrhea in the beginning. Muscle cramps and a tingling sensation in my legs and I feel a lot tired and weak but I hope the situation gets better once I am on the maintenance dose.
