I made an appointment to talk to the PCP about feelings of depressions I thought I was experiencing. I left his office with a script for Mirtazapine. I used as he prescribed; the first week I felt a little strange, but figured I was just getting used to this drug. After the first month, I checked-in with the PCP and told him how strange I was feeling. The only way to describe it is flat or monotone. The PCP said this medication took at least 6-8 weeks to take effect. I called the PCP office at the 6-week mark, I no longer felt safe leaving my home.
